Insert Attribute

DDM attributes are added to your spreadsheet using the Insert Attribute button on the Snowman Design (DDM) toolbar tab. Clicking this button opens the Attribute Selector window, which is made up of three sections:

  1. Insert Location
  2. Attribute List
  3. Action Buttons

Insert Location

This is where you choose where the attribute will be placed in your document. The following options are available:

  • Cell (Default) – Inserts the attribute into the currently selected cell in your spreadsheet.
  • Header – Left, Centre, Right – Inserts the attribute into the left, center, or right section of the document header.
  • Footer – Left, Centre, Right – Inserts the attribute into the left, center, or right section of the document footer.

⚠️ Please note: If you insert an attribute into a cell that already contains data, the existing content will be overwritten. Please ensure you have selected the correct cell before proceeding.

Attribute List

This section displays all of the DDM attributes that are available to insert into your spreadsheet, along with the current value of each attribute. Select the attribute you wish to insert from this list.

Action Buttons

Once you have chosen your location and selected your attribute, you have two options:

  • Insert – Adds the selected attribute to the chosen location in your document.
  • Cancel – Closes the window without making any changes.

Can't See the Insert Attribute Button?

The visibility of the Insert Attribute button is controlled by a system setting. If the button is not visible on your toolbar, please check your System Settings to ensure the button is switched on. Click here for more information on System Settings.
