Snowman Design DDM Office Add-In - Excel

Add a License

If you purchased a suite license, you only need to complete the licensing process once. The other applications included in the suite will automatically detect and use the same license.

If you purchased an individual product license, you will need a separate license for each application.

Before You Begin

Before starting the licensing process, please make sure you have the following available:

Setting Up Your License

  1. Click the View/Modify License button on the toolbar to open the View License Information window.
  2. Click the Browse button and locate your license file on your computer, then click OK to load it.
  3. The software will automatically contact our server to verify your license. Once complete, you will see one of the following messages:
    • License Validated – Your license has been successfully verified and you are good to continue.
    • License Validation Failed – Expired License – Your subscription has expired and you are unable to use the software. Please contact us for further information.
    • License Validation Failed – Revoked License – Your license has been revoked. Please contact us for further information.
    • License Validation Failed – Wrong Product – The license file you selected is for a different product. Please check you are using the correct file.
  4. Click OK on the confirmation message to continue. If your license was validated successfully, you will be able to proceed with activating the software. If validation failed, you will not be able to continue until the issue is resolved.

Once successfully validated, your license is stored securely on your machine.

Additional License Options

If you need to repeat or manage the licensing process, the following buttons are available:

  • Read, Validate & Load License File – Runs through the full licensing process again from the beginning.
  • Validate License Online – Manually triggers an online validation check for your current license.
  • Open Local Storage Path – Opens the folder on your computer where the license file is stored.
  • Clear Local Storage – Removes the locally stored license from your machine. If you use this option, you will need to complete the licensing process again.

Updating to a New License

If your license has been modified, for example following a change to your subscription or activation limit, you will need to load the updated license file into the software. This is done using the same steps described in the Setting Up Your License section above. Your updated license file can be obtained from the same locations as your original license file, either from the email notification you received about the change, or from the My License page on the Snowman Design Software License Portal.

The next step is to activate the software. Click here for more information on activation.
