Update Settings
The Update Settings tab controls how the add-in handles software updates. There are three sections on this tab:
- Auto-Check Settings
- Notification Settings
- Skipped Versions Settings
Auto-Check Settings
This controls whether the add-in automatically checks for updates each time it is opened. You can change this setting by clicking the toggle switch.
- On – The add-in will automatically check for updates when opened. You can also set how often it checks, anywhere between every 1 day and every 365 days.
- Off – The add-in will not check for updates automatically.
Note: This setting only affects the automatic check. You can still run a manual update check at any time. Click here for more information on how to do this.
Notification Settings
his controls how you are told about available updates. You can change this setting by clicking the toggle switch.
- On – A pop-up message will appear to let you know when an update is available.
- Off – No pop-up will appear. Instead, the toolbar (Ribbon) will quietly display a notice that an update is available.
Skipped Versions Settings
This section shows a list of any software versions you have previously chosen to skip. If an available update matches a version on this list, the add-in will ignore it and not prompt you to install it.
You can manage this list using the two buttons below it:
- Clear Selected Skipped Version – Removes a specific version from the list.
- Clear All Skipped Versions – Removes all versions from the list at once.
